Chelsea Brooks
Chelsea Brooks’ home community is Indian Brook, Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of late David J. Brooks and Alice Brooks. She first started painting at the age of two years. Her father taught her to draw and paint and to be creative. “He was the best teacher a daughter could ask for”, Chelsea had said many times. He has and always will continue to inspire and influence her artwork. Chelsea has been making it her priority to carry on her father’s art legacy which is a big part of her family. Her art work is very personal. Each time she creates a painting, or makes a custom painting for someone, she is giving not only a painting, but she is also giving her time, her energy, her thought process, her heart, and her soul (Quote Chelsea). As her father David Brooks did, Chelsea also met Rolf Bouman for the first time in 2008. Ever since she has been painting with the Friends United initiative. Chelsea has also produced many paintings, which are featured at the Friends United International Convention Centre.
